Every wrist watch is serviced and whenever needed new crystals and straps are installed. Cases are cleaned and dials are refinished if the patina is excessive.

You should not expect a mechanical watch to operate at the same accuracy as a quartz, while many are accurate within one minute per day some will not be.

The classic designs of the 30's, 40's and 50's are just not available in affordable watches today.
