THE BALL SIGNED 'OFFICIAL RAILROAD (RR) STANDARD' MONTGOMERY
PORCELAIN ENAMEL DIAL (VERY RARE) IS NEAR MINT
IN APPEARANCE. BUT THERE IS A VERY TINY SHORT HAIRLINE AT THE 38 MINUTE MARKER AND BETWEEN THE 20
AND 23 MINUTE MARKERS. BOTH CAN NOT BE SEEN WHEN THE BEZEL IS IN PLACE AND THE WATCH IS IN USE.
NEW OLD STOCK GLASS
THE MOVEMENT HAS JUST BEEN SERVICED AND IS KEEPING

THE SERIAL NUMBER IS 1B5750 dates this to be one
of the later Balls sometime in the 1950's.

The movement was just serviced and is keeping excellent
time.
The porcelain enamel dial is very nice but does
have a manufacturing flaw running from the center to near the one. This
is not a hairline but a slight discoloration that is difficult to see in
the photo. Not all that noticeable.
Nice gold filled case looks to be original to this
watch, very good covers and not bad wear considering it is 100 years
old.
The crystal is new old stock glass.

gold filled Hunter case.
The movement has just been serviced and
the watch is keeping excellent time.
Serial number B641542 dates this watch to
1938 and manufactured by Hamilton
The regulator on this watch looks more like a
Waltham to me but because Ball used a very strange serial number
system and the serial number is for a Hamilton I am selling
as a Hamilton, even though I have reservations. I thought
that the 16 jewel Hamilton's were lever set but there are
always exceptions.
Pendent set and wind
Perfect beveled glass crystal and flawless
dial, hunter faces are hard to photograph without reflection
because of the front cover - Sorry.
All hinges open and close properly
There is an engraving on the inner dust
cover and the cartouche has the letter G
