Are you looking for a Bargain?
Here it is. Priced below bottom book for
a 992 with the gold center wheel.
This well running, serviced and excellent condition Hamilton Grade 992, 16 size, 21 jewel, adjusted 5 positions, double roller, Model 2, open face movement,
housed in a solid base metal, 14K gold heavy electroplated
case.
Take a look at the wheels and plates on this fine movement. Notice only pretty faint staining on the wheels - nothing glaring for sure - and clean, unscratched plates. This movement has been well taken care of over the years. The balance wheel swings wide with a good arc and a healthy
beat. The gold center wheel and train appear in order and the gold jewel settings sparkle! Comes complete with original dust ring.
The advantage to this case is that base
metal cases are much stronger than, gold or gold filled case
and rarely dent or have deep scratches. The covers tend to
screw on better over the long hall also. This case's covers
are very good. Electroplated in our shop with a very heavy
layer of pure 14K gold.
The crystal is new old stock glass
The dial has a chip repair at 5 and a
couple of faint hairlines. I can send you larger photos if
this concerns you.
This is a great watch for
everyday use, with a perfect or near perfect dial add $85.00

17 Jewel lever set, stem wind pocket watch is truly a very
rare find. The Military dial is so perfect I was concerned
that it might be an enamel replacement dial before I had the
chance to do an inspection. It is the original porcelain
dial, I included photos so you can be sure.
The covers on this case both
screw on flawlessly. The case was meticulously cleaned,
polished and then electroplated with a heavy 14K Gold over
the original gold filled case. The color variation on
the case back is a shadow.
This watch has a very rare movement that
was just serviced. It is keeping excellent time. As you can
see there were less than 5000 of this model ever produced.
The serial number is 17015323, adjusted to
three positions.
It has a new old stock heavy glass
crystal.
